Light to moderate rain likely across the country today

KATHMANDU, July 8: There is currently the influence of monsoon winds across the country. The low-pressure line of monsoon is located to the south of its usual position. In the morning, light to moderate rainfall is taking place in a few places of Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

Normal to partly cloudy skies will prevail across the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain is likely at some places in all the provinces. Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces, according to the MFD.

Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places of Terai including Koshi and Gandaki provinces and few places in the rest of the country.
