KATHMANDU, March 20: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has predicted the possibility of snowfall in some areas of the country today.
According to the DHM, partial cloud cover is expected in the mountainous region of Koshi Province, with light snowfall expected at one or two places. In the hilly areas, partial cloud cover is expected, with the possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places. The Terai region is expected to remain mainly clear.
In Madhes Province, the Terai region is expected to remain mainly clear. The mountainous region of Bagmati Province is likely to experience partial cloud cover, while the Terai region will remain mostly clear.
Light snowfall likely in mountainous regions
In Gandaki Province, the mountainous region is expected to have partial cloud cover, with light snowfall possible at one or two places. The hilly areas are also likely to experience partial cloud cover with light rain and thunder at one or two locations.
In Lumbini Province, the mountainous region is expected to experience partial cloud cover, and the hilly areas are likely to see partial cloud cover as well. The Terai region will remain mainly clear.
In Karnali Province, the mountainous region is expected to have partial cloud cover, with light snowfall possible at one or two places. In the hilly areas, partial cloud cover is expected, with light rain and thunder at one or two places.
In Sudurpashchim Province, the mountainous region is likely to have partial cloud cover, with the same expected for the hilly areas. The Terai region is expected to remain mostly clear.
