KATHMANDU, March 25: The weather will be slightly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and there is a possibility of light rain coupled with thunder and lightning in some places today due to the impact of the westerly low-pressure system.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology shared that thunderstorms, lightning, and light rain are expected in the hilly areas of Province 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Sudurpaschim Province. The weather will be generally clear in the remaining parts of the country. 

There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in a couple of places in the hilly areas of Province 1, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The sky in these places will remain partly to generally cloudy, according to the Department. 

According to the latest details of the Meteorological Forecasting Division,  the minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley today was 14.0 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be 29.2 degrees Celsius.  

Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius in the country while Dhangadhi is expected to record the highest temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius.
