KATHMANDU, May 10: Westerly winds and local wind systems are currently affecting Nepal's weather, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. Moisture-laden air from the Arabian Sea is also influencing conditions.
This afternoon, clouds will partly cover the hilly regions of Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, may occur in a few places in those hilly areas and in one or two other hilly locations.

One or two places in the mountainous region may receive light rain or snowfall. Windstorms may hit some areas of Madhesh and Lumbini Provinces.
By evening, clouds will linger in the hilly areas, while the rest of the country will experience mostly fair to partly cloudy skies. One or two hilly areas may see light to moderate rain with thunderstorms, and light rain or snowfall may affect one or two locations in the mountainous areas.
