Life insurers’ premium collection grew 14 percent to Rs 138.64 billion in 2021/22

KATHMANDU, August 13: Nepali life insurance companies collected a premium of Rs 138.64 billion in the fiscal year 2021/22.

KATHMANDU, August 13: Nepali life insurance companies collected a premium of Rs 138.64 billion in the fiscal year 2021/22.


According to the Insurance Board, the premium amount that the total of 19 life insurers earned in the last fiscal year was 14 percent more than the amount in the previous fiscal year. In 2020/21, the life insurers collected Rs 120 billion in premium from their customers.

With a premium collection of Rs 35.38 billion, Nepal Life Insurance topped the lists. Life Insurance Corporation Company collected a premium of Rs 18.22 billion and stood second in the row. Likewise, National Life Insurance Company, with a premium collection of Rs 14.33 billion, hit the third position in premium collection last year.
