LIC helps dalit girl

MAHENDRANAGAR, June 2: Life Insurance Company (Nepal) has provided financial help to dalit girl Bishna Tiruwa who was prevented from appearing in exams for failing to pay tuition fees by Janaki Kanya Higher Secondary School in Mahendranagar.



LIC´s head office directed the Mahendranagar branch to clear her dues after reading news about her in Republica and Nagarik dailies on Tuesday, according to the Mahendranagar branch head Padam Rana.



Tiruwa was denied admit card by the school for failing to pay tuition fees of Grade XI amounting to Rs 3,720.
