KATHMANDU, July 21: Nepali leg-spinner, Sandeep Lamichhane has returned to Nepal after the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said his visa was invalid.
Cricketer Lamichhane, a 20-year-old right-arm leg spin bowler, was hired to play The Hundred -- a professional cricket franchise 100-ball cricket tournament — by Oval Invincibles for £ 100,000.

Taking to facebook, Lamichhane wrote that his visa has been termed invalid by the ECB. “On July 18, two days before my quarantine completion, I was told by the ECB that my visa is not valid and that I have to leave the country as soon as possible.” “I have been asking what went wrong but apparently no one at the ECB has the correct answer. I can totally understand that things can go south any time, however, I at least deserve a clear answer to why my valid visa is not valid anymore,” Lamichhane further wrote.
