KATHMANDU, Oct 15: Police on Tuesday have arrested lawmaker Pramod Kumar Shah on the charge of vandalizing Janakpur airport.
Shah, a lawmaker of Rashtriya Janata Party was arrested from Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu hours after Dhanusha District Court issued an arrest-warrant against him for his involvement in vandalizing the airport counter on Monday, according to Airport Police Incharge Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Surya Upadhyay.
Elected from Sarlahi, Shah vandalized the counter of Buddha Air and misbehaved the staffers. Shah is being seen misbehaving a Buddha Air staffer in a video that has gone viral on social media for the past two days.
Civil Aviation Authority, Janakpur Office filed a case against Shah at District Police Office, Dhanusha stating that his misdeed hampered its routing works.
