KATHMANDU, July 24: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sher Bahadur Tamang has stepped down from his post following his controversial remark on Tuesday.
Minister Tamang was drawn into controversy following his statement that female students who go to pursue MBBS in Bangladesh have to compromise at some point to earn their degrees.
Tamang resigned from his post organizing a press meet in Singha Durbar on Tuesday.
Tamang had made such remarks while interacting with SEE students of Praxis International Academy on Friday.
