PARBAT, July 9: The Maldhunga-Beni road section along the Kaligandaki Corridor has been disrupted since last night.
Vehicular movement has come to a halt after debris of a landslide that occurred from a cliff above the road due to incessant rain since Friday evening covered the road. The District Traffic Police Office of Parbat shared that a big landslide had occurred nearby Kushma municipality-1, Maldhunga in Parbat.

Although dozers and trippers are kept standby to clear the debris, the continuous rainfall has hampered the effort, informed Police Inspector at Parbat District Police Office, Rajendra Adhikari.
He further said efforts would be made to open the disrupted traffic immediately after rainfall comes to a halt. Due to road obstruction, vehicles leaving from Myagdi and Mustang have been stranded at Khaniyaghat while vehicles bound to the districts from other places are blocked at Maldhunga.
Some vehicles are moving through the alternative route via Baglung. The under-construction road has been disrupted for over the last two weeks due to torrential rain.
