ILAM, Aug 9: Nine families have been displaced by different landslides at Itautar and Jirma VDC in the district that occurred following incessant rains since a week.
A landslip at Jirma-5 damaged six houses in the locality, displacing the families. Likewise, other seven houses in the area are at risk.
Also, three families were displaced after a landslide destroyed their houses at Itautar.
Other six houses in the locality are at risk. Meanwhile following the disaster, a team including Chief District Officer Janak Raj Dahal inspected the incident site and urged the affected families not to reside around the area at risk, said Superintendent of Police Sushil Kumar Yadav. RSS
