The landless squatters gathered in large numbers in the district headquarters from different VDCs including Shreekot, Patan and Dasharathchand Municipality staged the protest in the government offices blaming the Landless Squatters’ Problems Resolution Commission has not included Baitadi in the criteria ignoring their demands.[break]
They said an all party meeting held in the district on December 6 had submitted memorandum to the government through Land Revenue Office, however, recently formed commission has started works only in 25 districts in Terai ignoring our demands, said program coordinator Saraswoti Nepali of Land Rights Forum, Baitadi.
