Ang Tsering Sherpa was 1st runner-up on the count back with 34 stableford points. Purna Man Shakya finished 2nd Runner-up.
Altogether 14 golfers took part in the event organized by Kathmandu Eager Golfing Group.
Ramechhap win Jiri volleyball
JIRI, Oct 10: Ramechhap Youth Network won the title of Hemanta Memorial Cup Men´s Open Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Ramechhap defeated defending champions Shyama village of Dolakha 25-21, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-22.
The event was organized by Jiri Sports Association, Dolakha.
Winners Ramechhap bagged Rs 30,000 cash prize while the runners-up bagged Rs 20,000.
Shahi, Rai win Nakhipot Badminton
KATHMANDU, Oct 10: The pair of Mohan Bahadur Shahi and Shiva Rai won the title of a friendly badminton competition organized by Nakhipot Badminton Circle at Lalitpur on Saturday.
Shahi and Rai paired up to beat Ananta Hang Limbu and Lal Bahadur Chongbang 11-15, 15-7 and 15-12. Duo Bhimsen Rai and Jagat Ram Rai as well as Bimal Jha and Hasta pun jointly won the third prize of the tournament.
Sherpa wins Buddha Air bowling
KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Captain AG Sherpa of the operations department, Buddha Air, won bowling competition during the airlines´ anniversary games by dropping 479 pins.
Khagendra Bahadur Basnet and Dilip Khadka stood second and third, respectively.
The winners were awarded by Buddha Air´s Managing Director Birendra Bahadur Basnet.
