The championship will be held from Asoj 24-28 at Jawalakhel grounds, the association said at a press meet on Tuesday. Association´s secretary Prakash Thapa Magar also revealed that the championship will serve as a selection tournament for the 11th South Asian Games that is to be held in January 2010.
A total of 16 weight categories in men and women sections are included in the five-day event. Women will compete in 46, 48, 51, 54, 57 and 60 kg weight categories while men will get head to head in 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 69, 75, 81 and 91 kg categories respectively.
Over 150 players from across the country are expected to participate in the championship along with Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force.
