KATHMANDU, July 18: The hearing on a habeas corpus petition related to the Lalita Niwas land grab scam will continue today at the Supreme Court.
Earlier, the hearing took place before the division bench of Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Nahakul Subedi of the apex court. However, the hearing could not be completed as time ran out.
Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, former Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah, businessman Min Bahadur Gurung and former employee Dharma Prasad Gautam of the Land Revenue Office have filed the writ against their arrest in the case.
The Supreme Court is hearing six such writ petitions together.
