LA beat LRI 57-44 in the final with Lokendra Thapa’s 17 points. Nimesh Rai netted 24 but his solo heroics could not take LRI to victory. Similarly, Rara Hill rode on Bhumika Maharjan’s six points to edge LA 14-13 in the girls’ final.
Lokendra Thapa and Sabuna Shrestha of LA were adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the boys’ and girls’ sections of the tournament organized by Pushpa Sadan Boarding School to mark its silver jubilee.
Likewise, LRI’s Nimesh Rai and Rara Hill’s Bhumika Maharjan finished as topscorers in their respective categories aggregating 86 and 34 points in the tournament.
