KUKL invites bids for drinking water projects in Lalitpur

Previously, drinking water was not supplied to locations, including the ministers’ residence in Bhaisepati. Following the direction of Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav, KUKL has started a bidding process to construct drinking water projects in eight areas across Lalitpur district.

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), under the Ministry of Water Supply, has initiated the process to supply drinking water to the residence of federal and provincial ministers in Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, and its surrounding areas.


Previously, drinking water was not supplied to locations, including the ministers’ residence in Bhaisepati. Following the direction of Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav, KUKL has started a bidding process to construct drinking water projects in eight areas across Lalitpur district.

The planned locations include Lalitpur Metropolitan City-18 (Minister's Residence in Sainbu Bhaisepati and Magargaun), Lalitpur Metropolitan City-14 (Buddhamarg), Lalitpur Metropolitan City-15 (Ullens School, Dhapakhel, and Shantinagar Micropark), Lalitpur Metropolitan City-17 (Bafal), Lalitpur Metropolitan City-26 (Chokhel), and Lalitpur Metropolitan City-8 and 9 (Bojepokhari and Balkumari Bridge).


The project aims to construct infrastructure to ensure a clean and sustainable drinking water supply to urban and semi-urban areas. Ashok Kumar Paudel, Executive Director of KUKL, stated that bids have been invited from eligible companies to complete the work efficiently and within schedule.


Paudel emphasized the importance of timely submissions from bidders. “The project focuses on improving drinking water availability for the general public,” he said.
