KRP win T20 friendlies

KATHMANDU, June 8: Mumbai associate club KRP won friendly T20 matches over Biratnagar and Baitadi at TU cricket ground on Monday. KRP defeated Baitadi by 23 runs and Biratnagar by 87 runs.



In the match against Baitadi, KRP were elected to bat first and posted 154 for 6 in 20 overs. Bishal Chitrakar hit 57 off 51 balls and Shreyas Khanolkar scored 48 off 36 deliveries for the Mumbai team. Naresha Budhayer, Prem Budal, Dilliraj Joshi and Shakti Bhandari took one wicket each for Baitadi.



In reply, Baitadi could muster only 131 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Pradip Aire scored 43 runs off 40 deliveries while Shakti scored 36 runs off 35 balls.



In the other match, KRP won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 156 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Khanolkar scored 56 off 27 balls and Chitrakar 31runs. In reply, Biratnagar bundled out for just 69 runs in 16.3 overs. Mehboob Alam scored the highest 20 runs off 13 deliveries for Biratnagar.
