In the letter issued by Province Chief Khapung on Friday, it is stated that a member of the Koshi Provincial Assembly, who has the support of two or more parties, can present their claim within the specified deadline to be appointed as the Chief Minister of Koshi Province and to form the provincial government, in accordance with the aforementioned article of the Constitution.

The Supreme Court ruled that the government formed in Koshi Province was against the Constitution and ordered on Thursday to initiate the process of forming a new government on the basis of majority by August 1.

The full bench of Justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada, Anand Mohan Bhattarai and Til Prasad Shrestha has ordered the authorities to proceed ahead with the majority government formation process again within a week.
