KATHMANDU June 8: The Koshi provincial government has decided to submit a bill to the provincial assembly to replace the Province Civil Service Act, 2079 BS (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2080 BS.
A Provincial Cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to submit the bill to the Provincial Assembly to replace the ordinance issued to regulate the formation, operation and conditions of local government services.
The cabinet meeting also decided to form a three-member negotiation team under the coordination of Minister for Water Supply, Irrigation and Energy Tilkumar Menyangbo to hold negotiation with the group that has been demanding identity-based names for the province. Bhakti Prasad Sitaula, Koshi government spokesperson and Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives along with Minister for Social Development of Koshi Province, Buddhikumar Rajbhandari are two other members of the committee.
