Komal Oli admitted to Model Hospital after being hit by teargas

KATHMANDU, March 20: Singer and Rastriya Prajatantra Party central committee member Komal Oli sustained injuries as RPP cadres clashed with police in front of the Election Commission.

KATHMANDU, March 20: Singer and Rastriya Prajatantra Party central committee member Komal Oli sustained injuries as RPP cadres clashed with police in front of the Election Commission.


According to party's Deputy Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha, Oli was hit by a teargas canister during the clash and she fainted right there. She is admitted to Kathmandu Model Hospital.

According to Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa on Tuesday afternoon went to the hospital and took updates on Oli's health condition.


The RPP cadres clashed with police as the former moved toward the Office of the Election Commission, Jamal to stage a sit-in against the removal of the terms “Hindu State” and “constitutional monarchy” from its statute by the EC.


In the clash with police, a dozen cadres including senior RPP leader Pashupati Shamsher JB Rana were injured. Rana has sustained an injury to his knee.
