Former Queen Komal Shah undergoing plasma therapy, currently on high-flow oxygen support

KATHMANDU, April 30: Former Queen Komal Shah, who was admitted to Norvic International Hospital in the capital for COVID-19 treatment, is currently undergoing plasma therapy.

KATHMANDU, April 30: Former Queen Komal Shah, who was admitted to Norvic International Hospital in the capital for COVID-19 treatment, is currently undergoing plasma therapy.


According to Somnath Bastola, chief corporate communication officer at the hospital, Shah is undergoing plasma therapy from Thursday evening. “She is currently in ICU and on high flow oxygen support,” he added.

Shah was shifted to the hospital’s ICU on Wednesday with a drop in her blood oxygen level.


Former King Gyanendra Shah, Queen Komal and their daughter Prerana were admitted to Norvic Hospital five days ago after contracting COVID-19. Health conditions of former King Gynendra and Prerana have been reported normal so far.
