“May be the organizers thought he is too old to work with us for ramp modeling in future,” he laughed.
Koirala is reportedly the first Nepali lad to have participated in one of the biggest model hunts of India. In addition, he became one of the top 10 finalists of the coveted competition and bagged the “Mr Congeniality” title.

“It’s a matter of great pride for me that I got into the top 10 from the 25, 000 applicants who came for auditions. This has made it clear that Nepali models are equally competent and they can also bring home internationally recognized titles,” Koirala said.
Koirala’s manager Surendra Shrestha further revealed that once Koirala’s three-year modeling contract with Gladrags is over, he will establish an agency here to ensure that every year one or more Nepali models will participate in Gladrags’ annual unisex model hunt competition.
“People hardly know about this pageant here. It’s a big exposure. Models from South Asia and from the West come to vie in the competition. I’ve now become a bridge for Nepal and Nepali models to Gladrags. I believe a lot of young aspiring models in Nepal will love to go for the auditions,” elaborated Koirala who will soon fly to Mumbai to work as one of the models for Gladrags for the next three years.
