KMC hospital confirms eight dead, includes three crew members

KATHMANDU, Mar 12: Sinamangal based Kathmandu Medical College hospital has confirmed eight deaths among the injured who were brought to the hospital following the crash of Bombardier Dash Q-400 aircraft operated by US-Bangla Airlines crashed while landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday afternoon.

According to Sushila Sharma of KMC, two injured have been admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) whereas remaining injured passengers are going under treatment in burn ward of the hospital.


Among the deceased, the name of Nepali passengers Hari Sharan Poudel (35), Sajana Devkota (30) and Prabin Chitrakar (38) have been identified. Likewise, the name of the three crew members has been identified as Prithula Rashid, Rakibul Hussain and Khwaja Hussain. The name of one male and one female is yet to be identified.
