KMC excavating Kamalpokhari area to unearth Tukucha

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) police team has started excavating the Kamalpokhari area today to unearth the Tukucha River.

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) police team has started excavating the Kamalpokhari area today to unearth the Tukucha River.


A KMC team with an excavator reached the Hattisar-Kamalpokhari area on Monday and continued the excavation.

The metropolis had earlier found Tukucha while excavating the compound of Jai Nepal Hall and Lakshmi Bank at Kamaladi and in Hattisar area. Now the metropolis is looking for the legal proof of Tukucha.


Kathmandu Metropolis continues its work in spite of the short-term order given by the Patan High Court not to remove the structures built by encroaching upon the Tukucha River.
