KATHMANDU, Jan 26: New Zealand has won the toss in the 2nd T20 International match, being played at the Eden Park ground in Auckland, New Zealand. The Kiwis will be looking to post a big total to help put up a strong contest against the impressive Indian team, after their loss in the first match of the series.
This is what both captains had to say at the toss:
Nepal ‘A’ lose toss, to field first
Kane Williamson: "We are gonna have a bat. Obviously, it's an used surface and there won't be much dew. We want to use the surface to bat first. It's important that we execute our plans and put up a strong performance. We are playing the same team."
Virat Kohli: "Same thing, happy days. We had a brilliant chase the other night and we wanted to field first. Chasing falls into the strengths we have in our side so we want to field first. Four days into the tour, we are sleeping much better; I think we had the best sleep last night. We were happy with the performance; I don't think there was any jet lag. We are going in with the same team. We want to do better in the field. We can stop extra 10-15 runs."
The playing XI's for the match are as follows:
