DHARAN, June 8: Police have arrested Hangchha Kiranti, a central leader of Kirant Janawadi Workers´ Party, along with two women and a minor from Dharan.

The arrest followed the nabbing of five central leaders of the underground armed outfit, including a central secretary, last Friday.

Arrested Monday night, Hangchha has been kept at the zonal police office in Dharan for investigation.

Police recovered pamphlets from the room of one of the detained women. Police have declined to give reason for the arrest of women.

Party´s chairman Biwash Bidrohi confirmed the arrest and added that one of the arrested women is the sister of Hangchha and the minor is his cousin.

Earlier on Friday, police arrested five leaders, including the party´s secretary Rabin Kiranti, on the charge of their involvement in the attack at a police station at Nunthala in Khotang a few months ago.
