KARNALI, March 25: The Karnali Province Hospital, Surkhet, will be launching kidney transplant service within the current fiscal year.
The Human Organ Transplant Center (Shahid Dharma Bhakta Hospital) and the Province Hospital signed a memorandum to this regard here on Thursday.
The Center’s Executive Director Dr Pukar Chandra Shrestha and Province Hospital Director Dr Dambar Khadka signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. As Dr Khadka said, they have planned to launch the services for kidney transplant within the current fiscal year.
The Center functioning under the Ministry of Health and Population has agreed to expand dialysis services to health facilities under the Province Hospital as well.
