Nirajan Yadav, son of Shrawan Kumar Yadav was found dead with injuries to his neck caused by sharp weapons, according to Sunsari police.
Villagers had spotted a man taking away the child on a bicycle, but had believed the man was a relative. Though the kid was apparently kidnapped for ransom, the kidnappers never contacted his parents.
Police suspect the boy was killed a day after the kidnapping.
