Subash Kumar Sah, 12, was abducted while returning to his father Garib´s eatery at the west of Rastriya Banijya Bank branch office in Lahan-1 with a book from a relative´s house. [break]
Subash was followed by three persons on two motorcycles while going to the relative´s abode, his father Garib quoted eyewitnesses as saying.
The eyewitnesses further claimed that Subash was kidnapped from near a truck parked at the west of Shyam Cinema Hall after two of three men returned back with him.
Police conceded he must have been abducted from the spot as his cycle and slippers were found there. The abduction occurred during the time of load-shedding.
“It is difficult to identify and trace the abductors as no one has phoned the kid´s family claiming responsibility,” police inspector Bipin Regmi said.
Father Garib said he had no personal animosity with anyone and had never received extortion and other threats previously. “I don´t know why they have abducted my son,” a teary-eyed Garib said.
He had informed police after his son, who would never be late at home, didn´t return till nine in the evening.
