Khanal reiterated the commitment on Thursday while replying to UML leaders´ queries on his political paper presented in the party´s ongoing politburo meeting.
"We should firmly support this government because we formed it and because this is headed by our party," a politburo member of the party quoted the chairman as saying at the meeting.
The portion of Khanal´s paper that suggested UML become ready for sacrifice for the sake of building national consensus to resolve the ongoing political deadlock was criticized by many politburo members at the meeting.
According to the member, Khanal clarified that the word ´sacrifice´ was misinterpreted as he didn´t mean stepping down from the government by saying sacrifice.
He ensured that he would incorporate the feedbacks and remarks made by the leaders in his report.
