Khanal and Amatya duo, who reached the Chinese city of Chuhai via Hongkong on Friday, attended a religious function organized by Buddha Rinpoche there. Rinpoche had organized World Peace Puja and released 100,000 fishes into the sea.

Sources said Khanal and Amatya had not even informed Nepal's Consulate Office in Hong Kong about the visit. It is learnt that Khanal had addressed the function organized by Rinpoche at Chelong Hengkun Bay Hotel.

According to a participant in the meeting, Khanal had thanked Rinpoche for promoting Budhha across the world. "Let's make Lumbini a center of Buddhists by further encouraging people to visit Lumbini," the participant quoted Khanal as saying. However, Amatya did not address the meeting. Khanal and Amatya had quietly stayed in Hong Kong Sunday before flying to Nepal via Dragon Air on Monday evening.
