Kathmandu Valley’s COVID-19 tally surpasses 6000 mark

KATHMANDU, September 2: With 388 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, Kathmandu Valley’s COVID-19 tally now stands at 6,205.

KATHMANDU, September 2: With 388 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, Kathmandu Valley’s COVID-19 tally now stands at 6,205.


According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 350 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu, nine in Bhaktapur and 29  in Lalitpur districts were recorded in Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours.

The number of new cases of COVID-19 detected on Tuesday was 481, while this number was 298 on Monday, 429 on Sunday, 186 on Saturday, 415 on Friday, 377 on Thursday and 301 on Wednesday. Kathmandu Valley has recorded 2,875 new cases of COVID-19 in the past one week alone.
