Kathmandu CDO pledges strong action against black marketers

KATHMANDU, March 15: Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Chudamani Sharma has said necessary action will be taken to black marketers for guaranteeing consumer rights.



At an interaction organised here today by the Consumer Forum Nepal to mark the International Consumers Day, he pointed out the need for the consumers to monitor and scrutinize every businessmen and service providers by being aware in the society.[break]



SSP Ran Bahadur Chand said necessary manpower would be provided to make the monitoring effective for maintaining quality service and rights to the consumers.



Chairman of the Forum Harendra Bahadur Shrestha urged the government to be sensitive towards protecting consumer rights by discouraging sale of substandard goods. The Forum was established in 2043 BS for creating awareness on consumer rights.
