Kathmandu bus stations crowded as travelers leave the valley (Photo Feature)

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: With the start of the Dashain festival, the exodus of people leaving for their hometowns and villages from the capital has begun to surge. Kathmandu’s New Bus Park and other long-distance bus stations have been bustling with travelers since early morning.

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: With the start of the Dashain festival, the exodus of people leaving for their hometowns and villages from the capital has begun to surge. Kathmandu’s New Bus Park and other long-distance bus stations have been bustling with travelers since early morning.


This year, the government issued route permits starting Monday, as several roads had been blocked by floods and landslides caused by continuous rains.
