KATHMANDU, April 21: Chief of the Army Staff Rookmangud Katawal furnished his clarification to Defense Ministry Tuesday morning, the Directorate of Public Relation of Nepal Army (NA) confirmed.
According to DRP, the Army Chief sent a letter to the cabinet secretariat in response to the clarification sought by the government.

"A letter was sent to the cabinet secretariat at 10 am Tuesday morning," the army spokesperson Ramindra Chettri said.
Chhettri, however, denied to disclose content of the reply.
The government has given him 24 hours to defend charges related to recruitment of 3,010 soldiers, reinstatement of the eight retired Brigadier Generals without coordinating with the Defense Ministry and boycotting the National Games by the army.
