Mount Everest Fashion Runway sets world record
There are two ways to reach Kala Patthar. One is by helicopter, the means of transport which maximum tourists and researchers uses creating the carbon footprint and pollution in the Himalayas. The other way is trekking and, Kasa has decided to trek with their 50- member team (models and technicians) to Kala Patthar and back to Lukla creating no carbon footprint or pollution in the great Himalayas.
The trekking part is been taken care by Dawa Steven Sherpa as a partner for the Mt Everest Fashion Runway. Similarly, Kasa is using bio-degradable designed clothes, shampoo, detergent, waterless bath and solar technology on the trek to Kala Patthar to ensure that they don't add pollution in the Himalayas.
According to Dawa, if suitably clothed and well equipped, January has its own perk like less traffic on the trek, room’s availability, no queue for charging the phone and so on. Dawa further said that January is the clear most weather to witness the scenic beauty of the Mt Everest.
The International Models from Italy, Netherland, Finland, Poland, Nigeria, Mexico, Sri Lanka and India will participate in the event that will be led by Manita Devkota, Miss Universe Nepal 2018.
