Karnali youths to elevate State identity in National Youth Conference

SURKHET, Aug 10 : The youths from Karnali State are participating in the National Youth Conference being held in the federal capital from August 12 to 15. They would show the identity of Karnali State in the conference.


Organizing a press conference here today, Nepal Youth Council's Karnali State Chapter informed that 24 youths would participate in the conference along with the cultural identity, specificities and information about the tourist destinations in the State.

The youths attending the event belong to the age group from 18 to 30, said State coordinator of the Council, Indrajit Sunar. "We go to the federal capital, carrying original cereal and beans including karli marsi and latte. Even the wooden tools and objects as bowl, mat and furniture would be taken together," he added.


According to him, there are various other materials to give identity of the Karnali State like the medicinal herbs and the related products. The other participants at the conference would be made aware about the tourist destination in Karnali State, Sunar added.


The conference will focus various issues including Visit Nepal Year 2020, gender equality, sustainable development goals, youth leadership and youth entrepreneurship. It would also issue the Kathmandu Declaration 2019.


Another participant, Mamata Adhikari, informed that other participants would be invited to visit Karnali State, which is full of cultural and geographical beauty.
