Karatekas off to England

KATHMANDU, July 3: The 11th South Asian Games medalist karateka Sunil Lama and Parshuram Bastola on Friday left for England to take part in a Karate Championship slated for July 6 and 7.

Sunil will compete in the men's U-67 kg kumite, while Parshuram will vie for men's singles kata section. The 11th SAG gold medalist Sunil, who also won gold in the 13th Asia Pacific Championship, and Parshuram, who competed in Incheon Asian Games and World Championship in Japan, said that they were hopeful of winning medal in the championship.


Nepal Karate Federation on Friday bade farewell to the players.
