The locals of these Village Development Committees (VDCs) organized the banda calling for operation of road, electricity, the administrative service centre and the local Suntharali Airport.[break]
The struggle committee that announced the protest programmes after submitting a memorandum to the district authorities on Thursday enforced the banda in the district headquartyers and other places of the district since the morning today.
The market, businesses, industries and transport services are closed due to the banda. This has affected the normal administrative activities at the government offices. Passengers have also been stranded due to the closure of transport services.
