Kadoorie Foundation installs taps in 130 houses

BAGLUNG, Oct 29: The Kadoorie Foundation has installed water taps at 130 houses at a remote settlement in Tamankhola rural municipality of Baglung district. 


The Foundation installed taps at every house at Syaula village, Ward No 1 of the rural municipality. The settlement had been facing water shortage.

Kadoorie Agriculture and Association British Gurkhas Nepal, Pokhara provided the financial and technical assistance for constructing the water supply project at Syaula. 


The water supply project was constructed at a total cost of Rs 6 million 441 thousand 500. Of this cost, the Kadoorie Foundation provided Rs 4 million 975 thousand 200 and the rest was met through local voluntary labor, said Dala Prasad Pun, chairman of the Syaula Water Supply Project. RSS
