‘Kabadi Kabadi Kabadi’ announced

The third movie in the famous Nepali franchise film ‘Kabadi’ will hit Nepali theaters soon. Production unit of the film announced the information amidst a press conference organized at the premises of Silver Oak Events, Gairidhara on Monday.

The third movie in the famous Nepali franchise film ‘Kabadi’ will hit Nepali theaters soon. Production unit of the film announced that they are gearing up for shooting due to begin in the coming few weeks. The information was shared amidst a press conference organized at the premises of Silver Oak Events, Gairidhara on Monday.


According to the press statement issued by production unit, two artists will feature in the kabaddi series for the very first time- Karma Shakya and Upasana Singh Thakuri. However, Dayahang Rai will be portraying the lead character in the film, just like in previous editions. Director of the film, Rambabu Gurung informed that the story of the film revolves around social issues and depicts conflicts between people who believe in inter-cast and intra-cast marriage. “The film is quite different from the ones before, and conveys different issues and messages.  We are hopeful that the audience will like this change,” said Gurung.

‘Kabadi’ and ‘Kabadi Kabadi’ was also directed by Gurung. He further informed that the film will be released sometime between Teej and Dashaai.


Penned by Gurung and Upendra Subba, the film is being made under the banner of Basuri Films. Apart from Dayahang, Karma and Upasana the film features various well-known faces of Nepali film fraternity including Bijaya Baral, Buddhi Tamang, Kamalmani Nepal, Aruna Karki and Kabita Aale.
