KATHMANDU, June 22: The writ petition filed by Assistant Professor Prem Bahadur Chalaune will be heard by the bench of Supreme Court Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma.
Chalaune filed a petition at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, demanding the annulment of the decision not to file a case against the people who had attacked him. The hearing on the writ petition is scheduled at number 10 in Sharma's bench.
Provide Justice to Prem Chalaune
The last hearing was held at the district court on June 20 against the seven people who had fatally attacked Chalaune. But before that, the government had withdrawn the case through a decision of the Council of Ministers on June 13 and the District Court Kathmandu was instructed on Sunday to withdraw the case.
A case was registered at the Kathmandu District Court against Yogendra Rawal, Deepak Raj Ojha, Hari Prasad Acharya, Rupesh Shah, Rabin Kumar Lama, Sayuj Shrestha and Niraj Lama of the Nepal Students Union for attempting to murder Assistant Professor Chalaune. The case is pending at the court.
