JSP forms ‘party headquarters’ to take decisions on urgent issues

KATHMANDU, March 15: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP)-Nepal has formed a ‘party headquarters’ comprising top three leaders of the party. 


A Central Committee meeting of the party held on Monday formed the three-member party headquarters comprising Central Executive Committee Chairman Upendra Yadav, Federal Council Chairman Baburam Bhattarai and senior leader Ashok Rai.

The headquarters has been set up to take necessary decisions in case of urgent issues and urgent decisions within the party, said JSP executive member Mohammad Ishtiyaq Raya.


In case the executive or central committee meeting cannot be held and the party has to take a decision immediately, the party headquarters will take the necessary decision. According to Raya, the meeting has passed the criteria and guidelines for selection of candidates for the local level election. 


The party has stated that the meeting of the Central Committee of the party that began a day ago concluded on Monday.
