JSP accuses UML of attacking their Chief Whip Shah

KATHMANDU, March 26: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has expressed concern over the assault on JSP Chief Whip Pramod Shah and other party members allegedly by CPN-UML cadres in Sarlahi today.  

Issuing a press release today, JSP has accused UML cadres of violently assaulting their party’s central members and chief whip of the parliamentary party. 

"If the CPN-UML does not stop such heinous and criminal activities, then it will be responsible for the consequences," the press release reads. The JSP has requested the government to take legal action against the culprits behind the incident and guarantee peace and security. 

Shah was injured in the clash which took place during the discussion on the collapsed building of Phuljhar Youth Club during the expansion of the Tribhuvan Nagar road section and the construction of the club building on the remaining land.

The discussion escalated into a scuffle when MP Shah arrived while discussions were going on about constructing the club building. According to the police, someone hit the member of the federal parliament Shah on the head with an iron bar when the clash erupted.
