Journos protest attack on newspaper

DHANGADHI, July 6: The media persons in Kailali on Tuesday staged protest against the Maoist attack in the office of Sudursandesh daily. The protestors have demanded action against those involved in the attack, including the Maoist in charge of area 15 Tika Ram Sapkota ´Sangharsha´.



On Tuesday, the publisher of the newspaper and editor Hemant Poudel filed a police complaint against the attackers for damaging property and attacking the computer operator Prayagraj Joshi.



President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Kailali, Dirgharaj Upadhyaya said if action is not taken in two days, they will go for effective action.
