Journo Maharjan sets record climbing Everest from both sides

KATHMANDU, May 25: Journalist and mountaineer Kalpana Maharjan has become the first woman journalist to climb the world’s highest peak Mount Everest from both the north and the south sides.

KATHMANDU, May 25: Journalist and mountaineer Kalpana Maharjan has become the first woman journalist to climb the world’s highest peak Mount Everest from both the north and the south sides. She reached the summit from the north side on Thursday whereas she had already conquered the mountain from the south side last year on May 20, 2018, according to Rabindra Maharjan, director of Experience Outdoors Nepal, the official manager of the expedition.
