Journalist, two others die in Kapilvastu accident

BUTWAL, Aug 5: Journalist CP Sharma and two others were killed in an accident on Tuesday night at Kapilvastu.



According to District Police Office, the accident happened when the motorcycle they were riding hit a stationary truck at Khairenipur. They were heading to Gorusinghe from Chandrauta. The other deceased are Ganesh Bista of Duikhurikia and Prakash Basyal of Shivapur.



Sharma was treasurer of the Federation of Nepali Journalist, Kapilvastu chapter, and chairman of Kapilvastu chapter of Revolutionary Journalists’ Association.



The families of the deceased received the bodies the same night.



FNJ Kapilvastu issued a press release expressing condolence over Sharma’s death.
