KATHMANDU, May 18: A journalist lost his life when a car hit a motorcycle in Janakpur. Shivendra Rohita, 32, who worked with Rajdhani Janakpur Online, died on the spot when a car (Ba 21 Cha 3343) collided with a motorcycle (Madhesh Pradesh 2 Ja 5694) at Thapa Chowk in Janakpurdham.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Bhubaneshwar Tiwari stated that the accident occurred at around 3 AM. The deceased journalist Rohita was a resident of Shaheed Nagar Municipality-8 in Dhanusha.
According to police, 25-year-old Jayanath Yadav, a friend of Rohita who was riding pillion, was also injured in the accident. He is currently receiving treatment at Sita Hospital in Janakpur.
District Police Office in Dhanusha reported that they have taken the car and its driver into custody and are investigating the incident.
