ATHMANDU, Jan 2: Newly appointed Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has said that Justice Deepak Raj Joshee will not be assigned benches to hear cases from now onward.
This decision has come at a time when Joshee said he could continue going to the Supreme Court.
It has been learnt that Joshee had received complaints of having two different academic certificates owing to which Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) did not endorse his name for the Chief Justice.
Justice Cholendra Sumsher Rana has been sworn in as the 29th chief justice of the Supreme Court on Wednesday. President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Rana at a special ceremony held at the President's Office at 11 am.
